Ano Nuevo & Pescadero

It was a gray day, but mostly dry, as we toured through the elephant seal breeding area at Ano Nuevo State Reserve near Santa Cruz. The males were jockeying for harems of females, the females were jockeying for space for themselves and their pups, and the pups were jockeying for some milk! We were able to get a unique and close-up view of the seals. Then we headed back up to Pescadero to investigate the tide pools.
